Advertising Policies

Payment - Preferred method of payment is
by check, cash or money order. Credit cards are not accepted. |
 |
Billing - Payment for Advertising is due
on the 1st of the month. Bills not paid by the first of the
next month shall incur a $25 late payment charge and shall accrue
interest at the rate of 1.25% per month until paid. |
 |
Taxes - The advertiser is responsible for
all applicable taxes, including State and local sales and use
taxes. |
 |
Deadlines - Space reservation and copy deadlines
are no later than five (5) days prior to the date of publication. |
 |
Acceptance - The Rico Bugle reserves the
right to revise, reclassify, edit, cancel or refuse any advertisement
at any time. |
 |
Alteration - The Rico Bugle reserves the
right to alter any advertising material so that the advertisement
conforms to the mechanical specifications of the newspaper,
including reducing the size of the advertisement. The advertiser
will be charged at the same rate as long as the ad size is in
the same proportion to the entire page. |
 |
Liability - Advertisers and/or agents assume
all liability for advertisements published. The Advertiser agrees
to protect and indemnify the publisher against any and all liability,
loss or expense arising from claims for libel, unfair competition,
unfair trade practice, infringement of copyrights and proprietary
rights resulting from the publication by the publisher of the
advertiser’s ads. In no event will the publisher be liable
for consequential, special, indirect, exemplary or punitive
damages. |

Proofs - Proofs may be requested by the advertiser,
and are only for information verification, and may not be used
for design changes. |
 |
Errors - The publisher’s liability
for an error shall not exceed the cost of the space occupied
by the error, and only for the first insertion. The publisher
assumes no financial responsibility for typographical errors
or omissions of copy or ads, nor is it responsible for any errors
in published ads received after the advertising deadline. Notification
of an error must be reported within five (5) days following
publication. |

Cancellations - Advertisements cancelled
after the reservation deadline will be charged at the rate for
the space in which the ad was originally slated to occupy. |

Paid Advertisement - Advertisements resembling
an editorial or news story must contain the words “paid
advertisement” at the top of the ad at a minimum typeset
of 12 point bold. |
 |
Placement - Position of an advertisement
within the newspaper is not guaranteed, unless expressly specified
in the Advertising Contract. |
